| | Our grade 1 team were runners up to Geelong, each side having won all of their previous rounds. The last match of the round was the decider and it was very close. The players in that team were Glen Hind, Leon Crooke, Shaun Simonsen, Janine Eedy, Eileen Donaldson, Aleasha Kramme, Josh DeGregorio and Charlotte Roberts. Team 2, our grade 3 team won their grade, having won all rounds. The players were Roger Child, Mark Thurkle, Dan Fleming, Graham Pittock, Anne Fordham, Simone Rosetto, Mandy Knudsen, Hamish Donaldson, Harry Pittock, Emily DeGregorio. We had spare player so Carly Fleming and Lib Belton played for Benella. Congratulations to all who played. We trust you had a very entertaining weekend away. |
| | The MPSRA would like to pass on their condolences to the family of Graeme Simkin who passed away on 15th May, 2010. Graeme lived and breathed squash. Having started playing for Frankston Squash Club in the early 1970's he went on to serve as Vice-President for 7 years aswell as taking on various other roles as President, and Match & Pennant Co-Ordinator when necessary. Graeme was a life member of the Frankston Squash Club which then became Peninsula Squash Club. He continuted his role as Match & Pennant Co-Ordinator for the Peninsula Squash Club right up unitl his death. Having retired from pennant in 2005 he was coaxed back for one more memorable performance in 2009 at the ripe ofd age of 75. A real character of the game he will be sorely missed. The funeral for Mr Graeme Michael Simkin will be held at Tobin Brothers Spirit of Life Chapel, 232 Cranbourne Road, Frankston on Thursday May 20th commencing at 2.00pm. Private cremation refreshments will be serviced at the conclusion of the Service.
